Panasonic launches a new series of sealed slide switches: ASQD1, delivering maximum reliability and efficiency
Panasonic Industry has expanded its portfolio with the new ASQD1 series of sealed slide switches, a next-generation solution designed to optimize reliability and efficiency across multiple applications. These new components feature a dual internal circuit that enables fault detection, redundancy, and two-stage detection, delivering versatile performance in a compact size. Thanks to their compact design, the need for multiple switches is reduced, simplifying assembly and terminal connections.
Optimized design for critical applications
The ASQD1 series is available in three configurations:
- Two-Stage detection type: detects two operating points with a single switch, ideal for applications requiring pre-close and final-close control, minimizing component size and cost.
- Redundant type: integrates two internal circuits into a compact unit, ensuring continuous operation even if one circuit fails. This is the first time this concept has been applied to a three-terminal switch.
- Fault detection type: identifies wiring or internal circuit failures, providing immediate feedback on the type of fault, essential for applications with functional safety requirements.
Additionally, the new ASQD1 series features quiet operation, high contact reliability, long travel, resistance to shock and vibration, and IP67 sealing, ensuring optimal performance in harsh environments.
