New Panasonic PhotoMOS® HS relay series AQY231R1WY (1Y)
New Panasonic PhotoMOS® HS relay series AQY231R1WY (1Y)
Panasonic has launched its new PhotoMOS® HS relay, model AQY231R1WY (1Y), designed for applications in measurement equipment, testing, and medical devices. This relay, part of the successful low CxR PhotoMOS® series, features an optimized version with a very low combination of capacitance (C) and resistance (R) in the output MOSFETs, making it ideal for applications requiring high speed, efficiency, and reliability.
Características destacadas del AQY231R1WY (1Y)
- Compact WSSOP package
The new relay comes in a WSSOP design, reducing the mounting area by 89% compared to conventional products. This design contributes to the miniaturization of equipment, allowing more efficient use of resources and reducing costs in manufacturing more compact devices. - High operating capacity at elevated temperature
This relay can operate at a maximum ambient temperature of +125°C, making it suitable for high-temperature environments such as semiconductor testers or burn-in testers. Traditional relays, on the other hand, only support up to +85°C, limiting their performance in these extreme conditions. - High sensitivity and low power consumption:
The relay requires only 1.0 mA to operate, which is one-third of the power consumption of conventional products (3.0 mA). This reduction contributes to energy savings in equipment and improves efficiency in applications demanding low power consumption. - High switching speed:
The AQY231R1WY (1Y) offers fast activation times, with a typical Ton of 0.025 ms and a typical Toff of 0.15 ms, making it an excellent choice for applications requiring rapid switching speed. - High-frequency characteristics:
This relay provides outstanding high-frequency performance, ensuring lossless signal transmission, which is crucial for applications operating within this frequency range.
Market Applications
The PhotoMOS® HS relay is perfect for a variety of applications; its compact design, high reliability, and ability to operate under extreme conditions make it suitable for applications such as IC testers, board testers, and probe cards. It also fits measurement equipment like multimeters and multiplexers, as well as medical devices including X-ray machines, ultrasound equipment, and CT scanners.
