Wieland expands its portfolio with the next-generation SELOS DIN rail terminal blocks: boosting industrial wiring efficiency

High-precision motion control with Bogen Magnetics’ miniaturized sensors

Push-in and screw technologies in an optimized system for streamlined mounting, reliability, and cost reduction.

In control cabinet building, machine manufacturing, and industrial safety integration, efficiency is no longer just a competitive edge—it’s a necessity. The industry demands solutions that slash assembly times, optimize cabinet space, and reduce the need for highly specialized labor, all without compromising reliability.

In this context, Wieland Electric has announced the launch of its next-generation SELOS DIN rail terminal blocks—an evolution of their portfolio specifically engineered to meet today’s shifting market demands.

The new range is divided into two main product lines:

SELOS WTPN - Push-In Connection

SELOS WTPN terminal blocks combine direct-insertion technology with a compact design and a high-performance contact system. They enable fast, tool-free connections with high contact force and vibration resistance. By eliminating wiring steps and reducing maintenance, Push-In technology facilitates a more streamlined and repeatable assembly process, especially in mass production or high-density wiring projects.

Advantages: Fast tool-free wiring, maintenance-free, vibration-resistant, clean and clear marking, digital configuration.

SELOS WTN - Screw Connection

Screw technology remains a global standard due to its versatility and ruggedness. The new versions incorporate modern enhancements such as Phillips head screws, reducing bridges, and configuration tools that simplify design and documentation. The robust connection chamber and yoke-style clamp allow for various conductor types while maintaining long-term safety and reliability.

Advantages: Suitable for all conductor types, robust maintenance-free connection, fast assembly, clean and clear labeling, and digital configuration.

Industrial applications for the new SELOS generation

Beyond the connection type, the SELOS family serves as a comprehensive system for modern industry. This ecosystem includes advanced accessories, straightforward marking solutions, and supporting software. Wieland’s goal is clear: to reduce complexity, optimize costs, and centralize supply through a single trusted provider.

Consequently, the new generation of SELOS DIN rail terminal blocks is a perfect fit for a wide range of strategic sectors:

  • Intralogistics: Optimizes wiring in conveyor systems and warehouse management.

  • Packaging machinery: Provides robustness in high-speed, high-vibration environments.

  • Machine tools: Ensures reliable connections in precision manufacturing processes.

  • Photovoltaic systems: Offers specific solutions for renewable energy infrastructure.

  • Industrial structures: Facilitates assembly in large installations and production plants.

  • HVAC systems: Improves efficiency in temperature and ventilation control.

For machinery manufacturers and system integrators, this translates into fewer assembly steps. Additionally, it achieves better space utilization on the DIN rail and higher wiring performance. Finally, the ability to choose between Push-In or screw technology within the same family facilitates adaptation to different regulations. All of this is accomplished without the need to change technical ecosystems, which enormously simplifies inventory management and personnel training.
