A process improvement applied to the RST® MINI
In installations where available space is limited, connector size and ease of assembly have a direct impact on the installation process. The RST® MINI system is specifically designed for these environments, with compact dimensions and a construction focused on facilitating installation.
The latest development comes to the RST®16i2/3 series, which incorporates the same 2K manufacturing technology previously used in the RST®NRG flat cable. The process combines hard and soft plastic components through a single two-component injection molding process.
The result is optimized sealing without modifying the existing technical specifications. The new version also maintains 100% compatibility with previous systems.
2K Technology and Contact Geometry
The integration of 2K technology improves the connector’s sealing performance. At the same time, the contact geometry has been optimized to facilitate the insertion of flexible conductors.
The series also features positive and negative polarity screws, designed to simplify installation, as well as improved pole coding for faster identification of connections.
These improvements have been incorporated while maintaining the existing technical specifications and compatibility with previous versions.

According to the product documentation, these features make installation easier and can deliver time savings of up to 80%.
The RST®16i2/3 update maintains the existing technical specifications while adding specific improvements in sealing, conductor insertion, identification, and assembly.
